Maybe you voted early or mailed in your <a class="zem_slink" title="Absentee ballot" rel="wikipedia" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Absentee_ballot">absentee ballot</a> already. Good for you! If you're voting today—and you will, won't you?—I pulled together some pointers for <a class="zem_slink" title="Election Day (United States)" rel="wikipedia" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Election_Day_%28United_States%29">Election Day.</a>

<p>Maybe you voted early or mailed in your <a class="zem_slink" title="Absentee ballot" rel="wikipedia" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Absentee_ballot">absentee ballot</a> already. Good for you! If you’re voting today—and you will, won’t you?—I pulled together some pointers for <a class="zem_slink" title="Election Day (United States)" rel="wikipedia" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Election_Day_%28United_States%29">Election Day.</a>
<h3>Where am I supposed to go?</h3>
<h4><a href="https://www.metrokc.gov/elections/voterlookup.aspx"></a></h4>
<a href="https://www.metrokc.gov/elections/voterlookup.aspx">King County Voter Guide Lookup</a>: “Locate your <a class="zem_slink" title="Polling station" rel="wikipedia" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polling_station">polling place</a>, confirm your registration, and create and read your custom voter pamphlet to learn more about the issues on your ballot.“
<h3>What to expect.</h3>
It’ll be busy. Here are a few tips so that things go smoothly (via the Obama campaign):
<ul>
    <li>In King County, polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Even if you’re in the parking lot of the polling location at 8:00 p.m., you still have the right to vote.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
    <li>You may be asked to provide identification at your polling location. Approved forms of identification include a driver’s license, state ID card, student ID card, tribal ID card, <a class="zem_slink" title="Voter registration" rel="wikipedia" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Voter_registration">voter registration card</a>, utility bill, bank statement, paycheck, government check, or another government document.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
    <li>All counties except for King and Pierce Counties <a class="zem_slink" title="Postal voting" rel="wikipedia" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Postal_voting">vote by mail</a>. If you live in a vote-by-mail county, your ballot must be postmarked and picked up by November 4th. <em>(That’s today before the last pickup time listed on the mailbox!)</em></li>
</ul>
<ul>
    <li>All legal residents of Washington who registered to vote by October 4th via mail or October 20th in person and are 18 years of age are eligible to vote.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
    <li>Questions? Problems with the polls? Call 877-WA-CHANGE.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Help! There are so many issues!</h3>
Sometimes you just want to know which boxes to fill in. I won’t judge. For the quick n’ dirty you can’t go too wrong with <a title="The Stranger Election Control Board Endorsements" href="http://www.thestranger.com/seattle/Content?oid=698013">The Stranger Election Control Board Endorsements</a>. Take their cheat sheet along. Got it? Go! And don’t forget to get your party on tonight!</p>
